// Water Treatment

Every softener, filter, and RO unit.
Scheduled. Dispatched. Billed. Done.

FieldTracer is the AI Harness for water treatment and softener service companies — the back-office that never clocks out. Salt levels, hardness readings, backflow test dates, resin life — all of it tracked automatically so your techs show up knowing exactly what each system needs. Harness your operation.

// The real problem

You shouldn't need a spreadsheet to
run a service route.

Water treatment operators deal with more hidden complexity than almost any service trade. Every installed system has its own service interval, media type, compliance clock, and water chemistry — and none of that fits neatly on a whiteboard.

// Pain point 01

Paper routes miss compliance clocks

Backflow tests, operator certification numbers, warranty expirations — these dates live in filing cabinets until an inspector shows up. FieldTracer surfaces every deadline automatically on the service ticket, before the tech walks in the door.

// Pain point 02

Dispatch runs on phone tag

Your dispatcher calls to ask salt level; your tech calls back to ask which media type; your customer calls wondering where the tech is. FieldTracer gives the whole team one live view — no more wondering, no more phone chains.

// Pain point 03

Every system has a different schedule

A residential softener on 90-day PM, a food-service RO on 30-day, an industrial UV on annual — coordinating variable-interval service across dozens of accounts without dropping one is nearly impossible by hand. FieldTracer auto-calculates next service from last visit and programs the route for you.

// How it works

From salt check to signed invoice —
no training required.

FieldTracer layers AI Routines over your operation so a new hire runs the same tight route as a ten-year vet. Tell it what you need the way you'd tell your dispatcher — it handles the rest.

01

Track every unit — capacity, media, chemistry

Each installed system carries its own record: system type (softener, RO, UV, filtration), capacity in grains, media type, salt level percentage, hardness-in & hardness-out readings in GPG, TDS in ppm, iron concentration, flow rate, and service pressure. Your tech has the full picture before the van leaves the yard.

02

Auto-schedule recurring PM by interval

Set the service interval in days per account — 30, 90, 180, 365 — and FieldTracer computes the next service date from the last visit automatically. Residential, light commercial, commercial, industrial, healthcare, food service: each account type carries its own compliance and billing rules so nothing bleeds across tiers.

03

Dispatch the optimized route — one tap

Salt-low units and compliance-flagged stops (backflow tests due, bypassed systems, certificates expiring) surface at the top of the route automatically. Your dispatcher sees live job status; your tech gets turn-by-turn stops with all unit data loaded. No phone tag. No catch-up calls.

04

Log salt added, readings taken, and close the ticket

Techs log salt added in lbs, hardness out, TDS, iron level, flow rate, PSI, and bypass valve status right on the stop card. Those readings roll up automatically for trend analysis — spotting resin degradation or a developing scale problem before the customer notices.

05

Bill automatically & stay compliant

When the route closes, invoices generate from completed stops — no double-entry. For regulated commercial accounts, the operator cert number (Safe Drinking Water Act) prints on the service report automatically. Resin replacement dates and warranty expirations stay current so you never quote a covered repair without knowing it.

// Built for the trade

Water treatment is a compliance business.
FieldTracer treats it that way.

Most field service software tracks jobs. FieldTracer tracks the system — because in water treatment, the system is the job. Here is what that looks like in practice.

// Compliance automation

Backflow & cert alerts built in

Backflow prevention test due dates and operator certification numbers are first-class fields — not notes. FieldTracer flags expiring certs on commercial and industrial accounts before the test window closes, and prints the cert number on every regulated service report so your documentation is audit-ready without extra steps.

// Resin & media lifecycle

Know when the resin bed is actually due

Resin lifespan is 10–15 years and tracked separately from annual PM dates. FieldTracer holds the last resin-replaced date alongside media type — standard resin, iron resin, carbon block, mixed bed, RO membrane, UV lamp, greensand, calcite — so your tech never recommends a resin swap on a unit that had one 18 months ago.

// Salt & supply forecasting

Plan the salt truck before accounts run dry

Salt level percentage and lbs added per visit accumulate across the account. FieldTracer uses consumption history and regeneration frequency to flag low-salt accounts before they hit zero — so your supply run and your service route hit the same stops on the same day, not two separate trips.

// Water quality trending

Catch fouling before the customer calls

Hardness in and out (GPG), TDS (ppm), iron (ppm), flow rate (GPM), and inlet pressure (PSI) are logged at every visit. When hardness-out creeps above 1 GPG across consecutive visits, or flow drops from baseline, FieldTracer surfaces the trend — not a surprise call from an upset food-service customer.
